Web design and web development are often used to describe the same thing, but that's not entirely the case.
Web development deals with all the planning before we even pick up a pencil or graphic tablet. This deals with your ultimate goals for the site, whether that should be to have people fill in a form to request information or purchase a product or service from you.
Once we have the goal figured out the first thing we have to do is figure out how to get people to your site so we do some initial keyword and competition research. Then we take your goals and our research and go over some concepts, some internally, some with you, to create a path for the site visitor to reach that goal.
It also comprises of the actual creation of the site coding and programming.
Web design is just that. We take all that we have learned from our interview with you and our research and create a site that is visually appealing and meets with your overall goals and framework for the pages we create when we go back to the development process. The design in it's finished form is a layered image that we can either recreate using HTML standards or cut into pieces to create images we can embed on the page.
