Well hello! How have you been? It has been awhile hasn't it? Hard to believe, but the last time I put words to the page was four years ago. So what have I been doing? Well it's quite a bit actually that I could write about for hours, but what do you say we settle for a short list:
- My wife and I had a son.
- Continued to update Pixel Works. I even added some new things.
- Tinkered with this website way too much.
- Learned some new things.
- Suffered losses.
- We remodeled our house. That was a mess.
- Quit smoking. Hopefully for good this time.
A good majority of my time has been taking care of my children. Mediating three little dictators with their own agendas, emotions and spiritual growth doesn't leave a bunch extra hours in the day. Some days it's very hard. Other days it's a joy to behold watching them blossom into decent human beings and it's the best thing in the world.
My work hours have been relegated to the evening hours and days my wife has off from her nursing job. That's usually about the time Murphy's Law rears it's ugly head and the Internet is down, or Windows has a massive four hour update, or any number of other inconveniences that take up my time.
But all that is sadly, yet excitedly, coming to an end and it's time for me to get back into doing the second best thing in the world. Delivering beautiful, unique websites from scratch like Gramma's fresh baked bread.
In football terms this is what is referred to as a rebuilding year. I'm going to take the marketing approach kind of slow at first while I complete the new website and finish some odds and ends. It's a really exciting time and honestly I can't remember being this excited for web development in a very long time.
I'm glad to be back.
