If your website is not performing at it's best here are some things you can do yourself to give it a little push in the right direction.
Be Where Your Customers Are

What about Google?
Pages for Google+ is relatively new. In my opinion there needs to be some features added to make it really worth your time. Keep an eye on this one though because as Google incorporates more of it's other properties into the social network it really could rise above Facebook's current offerings.
Register Your Business Address

Keep Content Fresh
This one you may need a little help with from your web developer, but creating a news feed or blog keeps your site relevant. It shows your still in business and adds more content for search engine to crawl. It also gives them a reason to keep coming back looking for more new content.
